The jury, made up of representatives from the Valladolid Chamber of Commerce, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Banco Santander, the Provincial Council of Valladolid and El Norte de Castilla, has recognised 53Biologics’ achievements in job creation, employee training initiatives, investment in technology, and the implementation of strong Corporate Social Responsibility policies, awarding the company the Valladolid SME of the Year 2025 prize.
The company 53Biologics (Biotechnology Development for Industry in Pharmaceuticals S.L.), specialised in the manufacture of recombinant proteins and plasmid DNA under pharmaceutical GMP standards, has today received the Valladolid SME of the Year 2025 Award. The prize is granted by Banco Santander and the Valladolid Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and El Norte de Castilla.
The award was collected by Pablo Gutiérrez, CEO of 53Biologics, during a ceremony held at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters. The event was attended by Víctor A. Caramanzana, President of the Valladolid Chamber of Commerce; María Pettit, Director General of Trade and Consumer Affairs of the Regional Government of Castilla y León; Francisco Blanco, Councillor for Finance, Human Resources and Administrative Modernisation of the Valladolid City Council; Víctor Alonso Monge, Vice President of the Provincial Council of Valladolid; Jesús Martín, Corporate Banking Commercial Director at Banco Santander; and Charo López, Director of Business and New Revenues at El Norte de Castilla.
The jury placed particular emphasis on 53Biologics’ strong growth in activity and improved business results over the past year. Other key factors included the creation of high-quality employment, the company’s international expansion, its commitment to sustainability, the introduction of innovation, and the implementation of continuous training programmes for its employees.
